Clonie Gowen
Clonie Gowen's mother loves poker – little wonder that her daughter followed in her footsteps, and became one of the most successful poker players in the world.
Clonie grew up in Oklahoma – after she had moved to Dallas, Texas, she was introduced to poker, and started playing in weekends. When she finished 10th in the World Poker Tour Costa Rica Classic and won the WPT Ladies' Night event in 2003, she became a national celebrity.
Clonie has worked as a commentator for the Ultimate Poker Challenge, the 888.com Women's Poker UK Open, and the Gaming Club World Poker Championship. She is often asked to host tournaments, and has appeared on Poker After Dark, where she won first place during "Ladies Week".
Clonie Gowen was a member of the "Team Full Tilt" at Full Tilt Poker – she left the team amid some controversy .
Her winnings exceed over $1,500,000 – she has two children, and plays poker for her living.
